Spring is in the air
February 1st, 2012DECO GLAZE, Britain’s most experienced painted glass splashback experts, launch their stunning new GraphicGlaze range with a pastoral scene.

Floral design by GraphicGlaze
Ok, so the weather is confusing – summer in autumn and now springtime in winter. With weather forecasters unable to predict what the future will bring DECO GLAZE predicts a revolution in glass splashbacks.
Their striking new GraphicGlaze range offers a unique series of styles and patterns, all with the practicality and durability of their traditional ranges. This springtime scene is also available as a cityscape and a beach scene – ideal for a bath or shower room. DECO GLAZE has worked with local London artist Ashley Philips of Glartique, who studied fine art at St Martins, to produce these designs, all printed using environmentally friendly UV inks.
Other styles soon to be released in the range include a selection of Mid Century Modern designs, prints inspired by wallpaper and bespoke projects. Kitchen designers can have totally individual designs printed on the glass to create one-off splashbacks or perhaps to match an existing fabric or pattern.
Holly Rhodes, founder and Managing Director of this British-based company, says: “We want to show that there really are no limits to what can be printed on glass. While the floral scene may be perfect for a county kitchen or to bring the country to the city, other designs make bold, more urban statements.”
A recent collaboration with artist Rob Kessler saw his micro flora work – nature under a microscope – take pride of place at Roundhouse Kitchen’s London Design Festival show. The effect on glass is both beautiful and highly unusual.
Not limited to kitchen and laundry splash backs and worktops, residential use includes feature walls, mural pieces, furniture table tops and shower wall panelling. Cut-outs for sockets etc can be provided. GraphicGlaze comes in 6mm thickness.
